Lamplighters Theatre Company is an American semi-professional community theatre company in Smyrna, Tennessee. Established in 1998 as a ministry of Smyrna Assembly of God, their purpose is to "utilize the dramatic arts to advance the kingdom of God on the earth." They attempt to accomplish this by: * Producing theatrical events that promote biblical values in general and the message of the gospel in particular, * Providing a working model for a theatrical company operating under the covering of a local church. * Promoting professional quality in church-based productions. * Preparing believers to enter the secular performing arts while maintaining the integrity of their faith. Lamplighters Theatre currently does four major productions a year. In addition to a full season of major productions they intend to present workshop productions of shorter works in a blackbox setting called Lab Rats Theatre.
